Why do we have to wear clothes in public?

Here's an interesting question to examine why certain laws are in place and what constitutes human rights.

Basically if a person does not wear clothes, no harm will come to any other passer by. So why is it illegal to be naked in public?

contrast with, weed smoking (does 2nd hand weed harm people, will a stoned driver hit someone?)
abortion (will having an abortion affect the rest of society?), gay rights etc.

Well, people have been wearing clothes for so long that would be like asking 'Why do we live in houses?' We just do.

I am not clairvoyant but I can't See this ending well... But for reals, at first there might be many car accidents(people(guys(lesbians))) checking out nude chicks all over. Also, clothing offers protection, not much but enough. Also, clothing is a creative way for people to express themselves or their interests.

Unfortunately, since there is no hope of creating an agreed standard of who should stay covered and who shouldn't, we are stuck keeping everyone clothed.

OK, well the first part, its whats politically correct at this time. Like how people dressed differently back in the 1700s. Plus Unless you live in the equator, most days its not warm enough to be naked all the time. It would also increase the population and nobody wants more people around not spending money and taking up space.

Weed: no it doesn't harm anyone, they make it illegal because the government feels the need to protect you from yourself even though cigarettes are a lot worse.

Abortions: this is simply the conservatives' refusal to separate church and state. They can't imagine a government where the bible isn't followed and everything isn't treated with respect only until it's old enough to have an opinion.
