Largely out of boredom. I have to fill in the gap between drinking, sleeping and working, and this is often how I choose to fill said gap.

And because theres a few like minded people on here, an for the most part the users here are pretty sound. I also like the music reccomendation threads, I'm alwways on the hunt for new tunes to listen to.

because the majority of the people here are friendly and not complete dicks, which cant be said of a lot of other places, plus they talk about everything here so theres no restrictions

Well mainly as a form of escapism (see what i did there?). After a long day its nice to chill out and have friendly convos with generally nice people which ultimately dont mean a thing because im never actually going to meet anyone whos on here. I find it relaxing in anycase

Because it's not 4chan.
[/thread].

But seriously, this place is actually a nice well... place to post, plus, EFFICIENT MODS.

But considering my recent probation, I am thinking otherwise.

Because somtimes I see a thread I feel I can cotribute to,
I'm actually a member of quite a few forums that I've rarely/never bothered posting on just sometimes I feel like it here.

These forums are quite...interesting to read. I've been a member for over a year now and I've rarely posted until the past couple months, mainly due to lack of free time. But I now find myself with an abundance of it and this is a good way to burn it.

I answered it earlier today, and I think this epitomizes it:

The reason I've hung around the 'Scapist for years is that what the community strives to be as a whole works very well for me. And I can be geeky and silly and girly, and its not a problem.

Also, people actually get my obscure game refrences half the time. I bet someone'll know what I mean when I quote, "Return the fork, or I'll command it to destroy you!"

Mainly to pass boredom and for some good laughs and the occasional deep thread that has some sort of meaning.

There's a nice enough community here, there's some quite good content on the site and the user groups that I'm active in tend to be a good laugh.

Because while I'm watching Unskippable or reading Shamus, I see a topic on the right and think "I have an opinion on that! Everyone should know what I think!"

Because I need some form of social interaction, and for this, I can stay in my chair.
(So much sadder when I see it typed out like that.)
