Why does Cyclops look like Kick-Ass?

I just took X-Men Destiny out of the box and started playing it. What the Hell is up with that costume?

I do kinda like the toned-down trenchcoat look for Nightcrawler.

I will burn this game if Kurt Wagner doesn't say, at least once: "I will take on the Devil himself!"

That's his Astonishing X-Men costume, which he was rocking back in 2004. It may not be a great costume, but it certainly isn't a copy.

Honestly, Cyclops has yet to get a really great costume, like 90's Storm or Classic Wolverine, which is kinda sad. I kinda like his Age of Apocalypse one

Gotcha. He still looks like he should be scuba diving. I take it this means that Betsy Braddock has left this plane of existence as well? Sad...but at least we have Emma Frost looking like a porn star

My thoughts exactly. I also dug Storm with the mohawk. Or ladyhawk. Or whatever you called it. There was no hair on the sides of her head, OK?

If they ever get around to doing an X-Men movie that does the 80's-90's comic era justice, they should have Wolverine introduce himself by pulling his mask on and rockin' the brown-and-yellow classic outfit. Middle finger to all of the filmmakers who came before and said, "We can't do that, that would look ridiculous. Not like heavy black leather looks dorky or anything.
