Why does everyone hate the PS3?

They hate on it because it has a bigger player base.. WoW gets ripped on all the time and its the biggest MMO - most of the time its just to knock on it.
lol Wii players jump in it anyway they can with their "nintendo is the gaming only innovative company the rest copy us!" crap, it all boils down to how many fanboys on are that particular thread when the outbreaks start. My hatred of the PS3 comes from when it was hacked. Specifically, because it took Sony a WEEK to tell us that all of our personal information was gone. Adding in the fact that they had to give us COMPLETELY wrong timeline that couldn't possible be more off. Bear in mind, before the incident, I was a MASSIVE PS3 fanboy.
Well, fanboys will be fanboys obviously- so there's bound to be hate.
Either way, I don't hate the PS3, though I have a 360, I just prefer that the Xbox is cheaper (since I'm totally broke). I don't use online features so the paid/free online cost doesn't factor in.
Besides, while I like some of the exclusive titles for PS3, these days of multiplatform release makes the console wars mostly pointless- so it's not enough for me to justify the additional $100 it would have been when I was debating which to buy (which is two or more games worth of budget right there).
I do wish Microsoft would just bite the bullet and buy the rights to some of the PS3 exclusives, but not as much as I wish the fanboy bitching would stop.
Anyway, it just comes down to what personally fits you best.

It's YouTube. What do you expect? Every game-related video inevitably devolves into a console war.
Its just fanboys. Everyone hates them, and I use to have a ps3 and a 360. But I'm going to go 360 and nintendo from here on out. Its what I prefer, and ps3 has a ton of geat gams, like all the other consoles.
Xbox gets most of the dlc first because most games are orignally made for that system and are then ported to others.(Like CoD. We get the dlc a month later.)Burntpopcarn said:

Dude, it´s the Internet. Worse, youtube. I also have a PS3, but most of my friends have Xbox´s, and we don´t argue even once if one is better than the other. They´re both good.
Also, "Microsoft is evil" isn´t exactly ground-breaking news.
The "console wars", as fanboys and people acting as fanboys for the irony factor call it, is just a trollercoster that some people use to bash others just because they can.

Wii users stay out of it cuz they don't have much to bring to the table. I only own a ps3 so I'm biased, I admit it. I haven't seen much ps3 hate though, so it is easily avoidableEaston Dark said:

My brother owns a PS3, though ONLY for MGS4, he hates it, but only because when you press the power button it takes a couple of seconds to turn off, and apparently when you switch it off incorrectly, you get the old nagging Windows 98 message of you not switching it off properly, and when he first played GTA4 on my 360 he was stunned about how quickly it switched off (immediatly). Then again my brother gets impatiant when a game has to load, seriously its mental, so I really don't know how valid these points are, but I thought I'd share.
But in short I'm a bit indiffrent to the PS3 and as far as Youtube PS3 hating goes, I hadn't noticed, I always thought there was more 360 bashing on there.

You might find yourself more at peace if you were to tone this down a bit and the internet is probably as good a place to practise this as any. Also there is nothing wrong with being a fanboy.
