Why does everyone seem to hate Metallica?

Or at least post-1990 metallica? Load and ReLoad were amazing albums. They may have been more classic metal than thrash, but whatever: STILL AWESOME.

And to metallica haters in general: WHY? Why do you hate the metallicats? why do u pine over dream theater but rag on metallica? why do u say "TESTAMENT RULES" and "METALLICA SUCKS" in the same sentence. at least give me opinions. im used to youtube dunderheads so i dont get much "why" as much as a lot of "what".

How? The only time they sold out was The Black album. They redeemed themselves with Load and ReLoad in my opinion.

on the hate of st. anger: if u judge it for what it is, its not that bad. If you only like thrash, you hate it. If u only like old metallica, u hate it. i dont think its really terrible. it aint their best for sure, but its not their worst.

Well that's really all you need. Every band member is an asshole. Listen to Anthrax for better thrash. They've got a much better sound and their music is just better written. And it's a matter of opinion. Who cares if other people don't like a band that you like.

I don't like their sound. It sounds like they're trying too hard. That's just me, though.

I love their music, but I don't like them as people, 'cept for the bassist, the bassist has always been the coolest member of Metallica, be it Cliff, Jason, or Robert.
