It looks like the others were infected before witch it looks like they are going to rape her in the last panel

The comic makes quite the good theory, but we would have to ask valve for the real reason, everything else is technically just speculation and theory.

Guess we'll never truly know, although there seems to be two obvious favorite choices.

Is that witch the little girl?

It seems that not only is the little girl the witch, but the four with her become the other four special infected. So her friends and family are dead and no longer there to protect her.

I actually like to think of it as a survival mechanism. (stay with me here, i know she's a zombie)It's her preditory MO. The hunters stalk, the big guys smash, the fast normal ones swarm mob mentality style,and she uses her frailty to lure food.I think maybe she does retain particulate memory, but just enough to remember how emotions effect others a.k.a food, so she cries to lure them. That being said, maybe she was empathic/psychic when alive? I don't know but I like to think of it sort of this way for some reason.
