Why doesn't TF2 have a female character/ if you could make a female char, what would she be like?

It's because TFC and TF didn't have a female character. This was because the original design used all original Quake Models and the player model was male. At least that's what I suspect.

If there WERE a female, most of the classes probably wouldn't fit the gender sterotypes. I'd have to guess spy, sniper or medic.

With all the new patches, there will probably be a choice between male/female. Maybe Valve was just lazy, and since people were so tired of waiting for TF2, they knew people would be REALLY angery if thye extended it for fem. characters.

An interesting idea, but if they want to keep it a little more family friendly then maybe something like the spy, as huge hulking women will probably scare the target audience, and there's not too much room for other characters as they seem to have run out of different possible classes.

Succubi don't have to be huge.

But they usually are barely wearing any cloth. And they are blessed by the nature, ironically.

But I think the Sniper could get a female version. Or the Scout.

Oh, oh, 10th class? I'd go with a Hunter - bow as a primary class (more ammo than Sniper, bigger damage, but a bit harder to hit), secondary would be... dart blower? and melee would be a spear.

Oh i see, why not just make her slightly tanned, have a big bulky partner with big arms, who fights a guy called Wesker, or if thats not enough, why not add a dab of zombies into the fray?

Enough sarcasm, sounds like Sheva from RE5, and the spear bit just adds to it.

I've often thought that the reason they did not include a female character would be that:

a) With only one female character, female players might feel compelled to play as that class. The spirit of TF2 is to be able to class-hop and play as whatever your team needs, not be constrained to one class.

b) To avoid this, VALVe would have to make a female version of all the current classes. For all we know, this may be in the works. (Or maybe TF3?) But it would be an awful lot of work.

Valve loves to fuck with it's fan-base. The Pyro has been referred to as she and he multiple times. It's really hard to tell.
