Why don't we have a sequel yet?

I'd prefer original ideas though I wouldn't mind a Bioshock 2 from the perspective of a detective in Rapture before and during the fall, noire and all.
They're Working on that thar idea.

Obviously Assassin's Creed.

How about CoD4? It kinda led to a point and then dropped kicked you.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
Mutant League Football/Hockey/Anything
The Haunting: Starring Polterguy
Buck Bumble.

Any of the above I'd like to see sequels of.

Me one-hundred for Kid Icarus. Hasn't 20 years been long enough?

Also, while talking about the NES, a sequel to Crystalis would have been nice. I don't even think SNK is around anymore though >_<

Bushido Blade! The only fighting game worth playing (Wow, the internet does provoke inflammitory statements; disregard this sentence). There's nothing quite like watching two people skilled at Bushido Blade fight each other. That series needs a third installment.

A Conker's Bad Fur Day sequel is a brilliant idea! That was by far the best game on the N64! They should also do sequels for KOTOR 2, Dead Rising (in a city environment would be so damn cool!) and Streets of Rage as well!

This Syndicate sequel that people seem to want in this thread made me think about wanting a sequel to 'Gender Wars' or G-Police

The jilted RPGer in me says...

1) A REAL sequel to Chrono Trigger (Cross is better when you pretend that it isn't a sequel) that conveys the simple fun of the original without the pretentiousness that bloated Chrono Cross.

2) KOTOR 3 with some real production put into it.

3) Suikoden VI, I don't know if Konami has abandoned this series, but I desperately hope they have not.

4) Shadow Hearts 4, this is a desperate hope, as I'm pretty sure the company that made these games is good n' dead, and after SH3 I don't know if they can be trusted.

5) Planescape Torment 2, I would love to see Obsidian return to their masterwork, even if it is only in spirit, something they have yet to do.

6) Skies of Arcadia 2, I loved the original, it was very traditional but also very fun, and Airships are awesome, even more so when they can be customized and used in really well thought out battles.

7) Zone of the Enders 3, I know ZOE 1 kind of sucked but 2 was a cinematic mecha combat experience like no other and I would dearly love to see a next gen incarnation of the series.

And now some comments on what other people want

Baldurs Gate 3: Kind of pointless in my opinion, given that NWN2 and the Expansion filled the void in my heart for this game.

Kid Icarus 2: It was an alright 8-bit platformer that is too dated to update. I mean really, what would a Next Gen Kid Icarus game offer? Do we really need an update? But then again, I never played the original in its heyday and I find Pitt to be lacking in usefulness in SSBB, so my point here is really balanced against.

Mother 3: This game exists but Nintendo is full of idiots thinking that this is not a valid property. They claim that it would not be financially viable to localize it yet they will gladly give us rehash after rehash (see Mario Party Series) instead and ignore the fact that many, many people have been loving this game in ROM form for years.

Lufia needs another sequel. The "prequel/sequel" left all sorts of questions unanswered, and I want answers dammit!

Portal 2...

I loved the first so much, my heart would be broken if there isn't a sequel, or a bridging of Portal and Half Life 2 (GLaDOS or the Portal gun in Half Life 2: Ep. 3. I can imagine the awesomeness now...)

1) We need 3D remakes, or 2D updates, of Commander Keen and Alex Kidd.
2) Super Metroid on the Metroid Prime engine would be incredible.
3) Cosmic Spacehead!!!

Kid Icarus. Do it, Nintendo. A true sequel this time, not that Game Boy Color game or whatever.
I agree.
A new Kid Icarus is needed.
A game well worth giving more attention!

Appart from that, I want a remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus for the DS :3
