As many of you have seen Google, for a "prank" renameditself Topeka to return the favor when Topeka, Kansas temporarily renamed itself Google.

Ah, you corporate heads, you're so sneaky!

No, not really.

Did anyone get fooled by this?

Did anyone care?

Is anyone finding that because Google changes its mainpage for pretty much every blasted holiday that it has lost what little shock it could have given to users today?

It was pretty funny, the funniest part though is when they said they had a "Fair amount of brand equity" in the Google name and it linked to this:

Oh, so thats what that Topeka stuff was all about, confused me for a few seconds but then I remembered it is april fools today.

Did you try checking the time taken to Google Topeka anything and see what it comes up with? Because you should do that.

There's also the new Animal Translator.
