Now, this is, of course, very bias. But not a lot of people know of the original SIGN episodes.

What I think makes the show amazing, is how for some people it can draw them deep into the story. And how if you miss five minutes, or even one episode of the entire series, you would be confused forever. Or, everyone I know that watched it got that way.

Yet, that confusion thing was also what made it bad. I was young and was unable to stay up late enough to watch it, so I kept getting everything confused, and it had a cliff hangar in almost every episode, and I LOATHE cliff hangars.

It did have a big batch of surprises though, that most couldn't guess at, such as Tsubasa's real identity.

What did you guys like best/hate most about this show, if you've seen it?

I really liked the story, however like Roots I thought it suffered from it's pacing, which did result in alot of time with nothing interesting happening, though I think it affected Roots alot worse.

Oh, yes. Roots wasn't so amazing. It got better near the middle and end when things began picking up and getting actiony. I enjoyed the G.U. games, though.

Well, I loved the story.
I loved the soundtrack.
And I loved half the characters.
My only real beef with it, is after watching it, I couldn't rewatch it, because I didn't wanna deal with all the emo "fml" scenes where Tsukasa(? I mean the white haired "guy", haven't seen it in a while so I'm probably messing up the name) bitches about everything.
I understand actually being in the situation would be harrowing and stressful, and I might even behave the same way. But I can't stand watching it.

Yeah, Tsubasa was quite unbearable most episodes, but looking at "his" real life, you could see why "he" is so whiny and and cowardly. The dad was such an ass.

And on a side note, I love your avatar. That is my favorite movie of all time.

Yes, I've wanted to play the games, only now they're bloody expensive and they never bothered releasing the GU games where I live, so I'll need to import them, costing yet more money.

Ouch... that rather blows. The Original four .Hack games are quite good. Tad tedious at times. Nothing really changes throughout the four games. Especially if you can cheat to level 99 on the first disc, you never have to worry about leveling ever again lol. But, there are these Books that unlock special desktop items (for your in-game computer desk) and cutscenes, and music, and just a bunch of cool stuff.

The G.U. series changed stuff up each game. It was quite fun. Except I'm pissed because I played through the first two games, and for some reason game three won't work. And it's the best one (I had played to last boss of series but game would freeze right before him first time I played through the games.)
