Disagreements with the group's viewpoints.

They harass people.

Wolfy2447 said:

I don't, but many people disagree with their stance on sexuality.

I don't think small government is necessarily better. (Liberal means libertarian here)

In the American context, they're too inconsistent.

Religion is an irrational approach to finding the truth. Being able to force others with threats of violence to accept your belief system doesn't make it correct.

Because every other thread on here is about Skyrim. I'm sure it's a fun game. But seriously, enough is enough people...

Its a gaming forum. Skyrim is a good game. Therefore, there will be Skyrim posts. Get over it, or go away.

Hate isn't easy for me. It takes a whole lot of wrongness for me to hate something. I hate overcrowding. I hate nuclear weapons. I hate the logging industry. I hate fossil fuel dependency.

Also, I like the star wars ref. Reminded me to get downloading my client because on the 13th I have early access to SWTOR. Woo!

People hate because they think their views are correct and think that everyone else should agree to make themselves feel awesome. And if they don't then they lash out because their view is correct, just like the views of the other person are also correct (in their mind). Nobody likes to be wrong, everybody likes to be special (better, above the rest, a shining example of a human); It's based on self importance, or at least that's how I see it.

If by "hate" you mean the traditional forum activity of expressing hatred for something for fun, because it's popular, or because it makes people mad, there's no reason. The other unacceptable form of hate is hatred of something on an incredibly incomplete or misinformed basis, like most hate toward religion, video games, or other cultures.

But if you're actually suggesting there is nothing out there worth looking down upon for legitimate reasons... no. There are some things worth hating.

EDIT: And yes, Lulzsec falls squarely under justified hate. They were nothing more than a bunch of selfish douchebags, harming others for their own amusement.

I am not weak true hate takes work.

So whats the profit of hating and insulting??

I really don't hate much, mostly I am annoyed by things. "Hate" on the internet seems to be based on annoyed by volume. A ton of posts on a specific topic and people start to "hate" on it.

Real life hate is another monster.

Why hate?

Discontent is the first step of progress of any nation or man
Hate when properly channeled is one of the most if not the most effective motivator of getting shit done. Think about it, at some point Hate was the catalyst that spurred on damned near every invention ever made. "I hate how I cant see at night" led to the discovery of fire. "I hate how heavy my stuff is to carry" lead to the invention of the wheel, and hatred has been the father of invention ever since.

Same reason I hate conservatives, which is simply "Politics only cause bickering and fucking over of others."
Well, the thing is that liberal and conservatives are less of sides and more of a way people think.

Picking Republican over Democrat however, that's something to be put into question.

OT: I honestly hate none of those accept Lulzsec. They ruined a hobby for everyone for shits and giggles.

Oh, and I hate when people post political things on Facebook. Especially when it's clear though know nothing about what they're saying.

This has nothing at all to do with your post, so I don't even know why I'm posting this myself, but it just seemed oddly appropriate.

Because it is easier to hate than to think.

1. I don't know what that is.
2. Please keep in mind there is a great difference between hate and disapproval. Most of those who oppose homosexuality do it out of disapproval, not hate.
3. Though dislike would probably be a better word for the actual situation, I think the favored liberal political methods of ad hominem and so forth largely creates the stigma. No one likes being called a jackass simply because the person disagrees with something. It does not lend credibility to the harasser. Of course, stupidity is not kept to either side, but some methods are more legitimate and objective.
4. The only thing I can truly say I hate, for it is a stronger word than is now implied, is sin. That is another topic altogether.

Because at the end of the day there are going to be ideals, ideas, factions, fractions, objects, people and other things out there in the world that one is going to love and be passionate about. Conversely there are going to be people who are going to be passionate and love other things that are completely opposite and or in conflict with what the first group of people enjoy.

They can 'debate', they can 'agree to disagree', but ultimately there is always going to be a measure of mistrust and loathing. One very rarely hates something for no reason. More often than not hate is an expression of passion for something that they feel encroaches and threatens what they love and hold dear.

Without love. There can be no expression for hatred.
