See, my point is that arguments are 'detested' because people expect them to end in flame wars. I know that flaming is NOT an argument. You know that too, and a lot of other people do. But it just happens too often that you try to argue normally and the opponent suddenly - not willing to be the 'losing side' - starts flaming you. It happens often enough for arguments to be associated with flame wars and consequently disliked or avoided.PurpleRain said:Why do people think arguments end in flame wars. When you run out of arguments, you have basically lost, or declair that you have and end it. It never has to end it a flame war.
