Why is nobody playing Left 4 Dead 2?

I am playing. Even though I just finished a match of Versus. You might be looking for some weird games. Like Realism or something. Most people are playing Versus, Campaign, and Scavenge.

All my friends who have it got bored with it already, or decided they prefer playing Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer.
I personally am not getting L4D2 because the Australian version is utterly gimped. They took out some of the special infected and the visuals for melee attacks have been nerfed. It's basically a different game than what the rest of the world gets.

All Left 4 Dead 2 players are on PC. I have it on PC and I can find a game within seconds.

Just start your own campaign, and I guarantee you'll have four players by the third map. And, I had the same problem on PC, but I just did my ultimate option.

I have it and I think if you just give it a month or two there's bound to be countless sessions. What with christmas coming up and MW2 hogging the spotlight I think alot of people are just holding out on buying it right now...but they will.

It's a known glitch with the server browser. Sometimes games aren't showing up.

My guess is a combination of a few things. First is MW2. But a bigger issue is probably that people have caught on that L4D is a computer game ported to consoles, where they charge you money for DLC instead of giving it for free. And there's those early game release server issues that I was unaware of. And of course, a lot of people probably bought other games, and are waiting on L4D2, either to buy or play in depth. I suspect that boycotters didn't make a big enough difference to notice.

Exactly what debacle, at least one where Valve didn't turn out to be right all along? I think it's safe you say that you and your friends are in an extreme minority.

At this point, Modern Warfare 2 is all the rage on the 360...

The PC is probably doing better when it comes to L4D2 though....

I have to wait quite some time to find a match, and even then, most of the people leave before the end.


I haven't actually been able to win a Versus match yet - the other team usually quits.
