I really can't understand why, it's a great funny quirky detective show with likeable chatacters and great suspense so why do people not like it? Is it too weird? Is it too diferent? Is it too complicated for people to understand? Whatever the reason please tell me, I think it's a greatshow and am gutted it got axed her in the U.K

I don't think it's hated, many people I've spoken to loved it. It's just that the network executives in the US are idiots. Just like they are here in the UK. And everywhere else.

This is probably the best answer you'll receive.

Pushing daisies is my favorite show next to Lost. I cannot believe that they don't show it more often and at a better time.

I blame "CSI" and "House" type shows.

Hey, kinda like John Doe! That was one of the first American shows I liked. Got the axe after episode 21. Unresolved until I decided to look at the Wikipedia entry about 30 seconds ago (finally, some closure).

I meant it was like John Doe in the sense that it was a quality show, but didn't pull the numbers necessary to satisfy them executive-types, then got cancelled without ever resolving anything, though it got DAMN close, as if the writers were seeing the axe coming from a mile away. It even led up to a very climactic cliffhanger at the last episode.

Eh... I found Pushing Daisies to be a mixed bag. While it had a good concept and cast behind it, the humor could be a bit hit-or-miss at times. The ditzy nature of some of the characters was a big turnoff for me.

I watched the first few episodes and enjoyed them... but the comedy portions of the script needed some polishing.
