To your first point any prostitute is ofcourse free to reject a client who is disrespectful. Otherwise it's just rape. Also there are posts on instagram with girls warning eachother about abusive assholes(choking, slapping, very rough sex) they meet in the nightlife so men abusing women isn't exclusive to prostitution.
I've read some really weird stuff about what the Tinder-friendly male yoof of today seem to think sex is for achieving - I wonder whether it's exaggerated, though. In my day, just getting into a woman into bed was a win. Nowadays, it seems the real accomplishment is short-cutting to anal or all manner of advanced stuff.

I suspect a lot of this is due to internet porn. Before the internet you pretty much just had jazz mags from the newsagent, which were all pretty vanilla and set the expectation bar there. Nowadays people can skip straight to the extreme stuff via Pornhub before they've even had a date, try to run before they walk and claim bonus points for their locker room talk.

Well, you know. Once you're over half way through paying off the mortgage and you've been with your spouse for 18 years, you may as well just accept that you're no spring chicken. Had my mid-life crisis last year, too. Chalking up those milestones on the path to the grave.

Incidentally, we've only been married 4 of those years. My wife opposed marriage on principle as a patriarchal tool of oppression, but eventually surrendered to the ease of dealing with the legal complications if one of us snuffed it. And at the point you're seriously considering plans for what happens when you die, that's another sign you've got to a certain age.
