Everyone I talk says they either use chrome or firefox for their browser. what's the big deal? Safari seems to work fine for me. What makes it better or worse?

you may also talk about actual safaris. I like elephants

There's nothing wrong with Safari, I myself have it as a backup browser for stuff I don't use Firefox for. It's just a matter of preference for most, I would assume.
Either that, or they have some silly vendetta against Apple.

I like safaris. What's better than hiking and killing big game animals, like lions and elephants, with big fucking guns?

As for web browsers, I don't use a Mac so my computer never came with Safari. I use Google chrome. It's like the Google webpage just all the time.

Because it's goddarn slow.

People claim that Google Chrome is fast, and on all the Google pages, it's lightning speed, THAT is true. But test it on Nintendo8.com? Tsk, tsk.

I...just don't like it.
Explaining further is just about impossible.
It's an almost instinctive feeling.

I don't use a mac, and if I'm going to install a 3rd party browser I'd pick Firefox.

I use safari because it looks nice and works. I use firefox for more complex browsing, like html or cookie editing and macros, or if I don't want to risk a crash because of what I'm doing in a tab unrelated to the one I don't want to lose.

Because its a port first off and feels sluggish.

Also I feel Opera and Firefox are just better browsers when you look at the overall package.

Never owned a Mac so I've never even seen what Safari looks like, let alone have any experience using it. It's Google Chrome for me and I only just switched from Internet Explorer.
