Why so grim, Escapist?

I just spent about thirty minutes clubbing baby seals in effigy. Well, I didn't do it, I'm far too much of a lazy Overlord to push a stick and hit a button, so instead I just pushed a different stick.
Then I lit some dryads on fire, and slaughtered some Elves. Stupid hippies.
I'm perfectly cheery.
Also, isn't the Overlad just amazingly cute in an evil sort of way? I just can't get over the way his parka crown wiggles back and forth as he waddles.

I'm far from being depressed, but I am often and easily annoyed by stuff IRL, and I come here expecting to find stuff on the Escapist to lift my spirits, and as of late I haven't found too much of that.
