But you can't be, because you're young and still live at home and your dad won't buy you both systems and you have to pick a "best".
I'm 15 but I have a job and enough money to buy the Wii and the Xbox360 and about 20 games for both and 10 more for the PS3.
It bothers me that more people weren't astounded by my amazing clairvoyance at being able to predict that all the really heavy proponents on either side of this "war" still lived with their parents.
Almost like they all thought it was fairly obvious.
Snide comments aside, you're missing the meat of my point, which is to take off your blinders. You're letting your precious feelings get hurt because I called you out on being a toddler and not looking at the big picture here. Sony is not altruistic, they're in this for the money just like everyone else. And they, just like Microsoft and Nintendo, have made some really, really funny mistakes. This war actually has people defending these companies when they are clearly in the wrong.
We had a console war back in my day too, but even the strongest Nintendo supporters didn't try to pretend that the Powerglove was actually awesome. Even the biggest Sega geeks were able to admit that Starfox rocked.
Kids today can't seem to surmount these things. Some XBox titles really do rock, the Wii really is a fucking blast, and the PS3 really is a good and stable platform with a decent lineup coming down the pipe. Having three good consoles out is *good* for gamers, and for the market. Much like having Guitar Hero and Rock Band really compete with each other will give us some awesome music games pretty soon. If any one system really was top dog with no competition, there would be no reason for that system to try all that hard, now would there?
