So I guess that means no Gal civ 3
If anything, doesn't it mean the opposite of that?

Doesn't really mean either, but Stardock going back to full focus on games alone certainly doesn't do anything to ruin the chances of a sequel to one of their bestselling franchises.

Wow, a digital distributor for the PC became so profitable that they couldn't keep up with it's growth.

So much for a dying platform...

OT: Competition is good, but I can't see Impulse staying PC-centric in the hands of GameStop. It's probably more like killing competition.

What do you sell on a PC exclusive driven system that hosts nothing but PC games to PC gamers aside from PC games?

The only thing I can think of would be merchandise.

Ok to reiterate Stardock the company sold Impulse the Digital Distro Platform to Gamestop....Brad did not sell his company just a side project thats grown too large for the company to handle...

It changed owners from one man(who actually cares about games) to some shareholders(who only care for profit).

That is what worries me.
On the other hand, the company run by the man (Who actually cares about games), is going to concentrate wholly on developing games.

I see nothing wrong with that.

Well, it's good to see that some people still care about the software, eh?

On an aside, they're located in Ann Arbor? I live all of an hour and a half from there! ROAD TRIP! Grab your locking-picking tools, we're getting backstage passes!
I'm sure you can get a tour of the studio without having to bribe the receptionist with expensive lock-picking tools.

i rather like the fact that StarDock was willing to sell impulse to another company so they can work on what they intended to do. they will gain a little short term but wont have to turn so much of their focus to it.
