Why the EA hate?

I've seen in alot of threads EA is usually the example of something terrible. I don't get why though. Tehy've made some pretty good games imo like SSX and Burnout, why the hate?

because they water down games for casual gamers and release the same game every year for example FIFA its the same game but only they different kits and squad selections

plus i hate them for ruining the burnout series. 3 and revenge were awesome after that its gone down hill like need for speed

okay seriously I do hate the shitty sports games but with titles like Dead Space and Mirror's Edge and Army of Two I am at least glad to see EA is trying to innovate. My only hope is that they don't get in the way when what was formerly Bioware attempt to make the Mass Effect 2 we all wanted.

I guess I would have liked EA better if they hadn't devoured the virgin souls of Bioware at all and just let them keep making Mass Effect 2 in peace... but at the least EA don't seem to be getting in the way, a plus.

Because they are a giant company that installs obnoxious DRM malware/spyware in all their games, which only punishes those who bother to buy the game the proper way. In addition, they make crap (sometimes, however, they produce good games, like Stranger's Wrath and Future Perfect). Also, they punch babies in the stomach for fun.

I disagree. I thought that Tiberium wars was although unbalanced a good game. Red alert 3 on the other hand was awful.

As for the EA hate, I don't completely understand it, as there are good games with the EA logo, but the way they handled the DRM issue was just... BAD.

Because they suck the life out of promising development teams.
They got a few resistant ones, but mostly EA games turn into zombies. And not the good kind!

I thought the EA C&Cs were better than the games Petroglyph have been putting out (Petroglyph was formed by a large number of ex-westwood employees), not that the Petroglyph games are bad though.

EA has been getting better, at least they are trying; in my opinion, Activision and Atari are much worse.

Never heard of Petroglyph before.

I will admit EA has had some good games (whatever they are) but their RTS games have destroyed the chain of great C&C games. So thats it. C&C is fallen like so many awesome series now!
