The problem that you would most likely have here is the presence of twinks in battlegrounds. Twinks are low level characters decked out with the best possible gear for their level and pay for all the best possible enchants and gems so that they can one-shot people actually trying to have some pvp fun while leveling.mentor07825 said:Thank you, finally someone who admits that the PvP in WoW sucks.
Okay, I tried the trial twice to see if I liked it. I got as far as lvl 20 undead mage, and I didn't like it. I've played many MMOs in my life, and WoW isn't among the best I've played and I'll tell you why I don't like it so much, and possibly others may agree with me on this. Some of these things, however, are down to personal opinion.
Wow's other main pvp problem is the attempt by blizzard to introduce esports in the form of arenas to the WoW pvp game. This brought class balances imbalances and powers under the spotlight and generally is responsible for a lot of the fucking up of the game as a whole. Without arenas the game would be better off, so yes, your point holds here. However, outside arenas, the pvp can still be a lot of fun.

1. Gameplay: Yes, the game is interesting. But all it is an ultimate grind session. It becomes tiring and feckless work. The true reward, from what I heard, doesn't start until lvl 60. By that point those with nerves of steel would stick around. I tried the whole grind thing and I lost interest. I was rich, but I just lost interst.

If you think WoW is a grindfest, then you never played Everquest or Ultima. I remeber having to sit around for close to an hour on my mage in everquest meditating for mana. Wow? You drink for 20 seconds. Wow does a LOT to improve on those models while being fun while still working to cause grind to keep players paying. Remember that the ultimate goal of wow is to make Blizzard money.
The whole model of the game is on gear progression. You work hard to get better gear so that you can attain more and even BETTER gear. If you have fun doing this, then stick with it. If not, then don't.2. Crafting: Crafting was by far the coolest thing I've done in that game! It was simply awsome and great in the beginning and good money making! Thing is though, when you get enough money or a higher level the things you'd craft become obsolete to the stuff in the shops or in the raids. I feel like my armour or weapons are only stepping stones to the nice shiny shiny at the end of a raid, and who wants that? The crafting system was good, yes, but wasn't important and made you feel like you were going through transition to a raid.
Damned right it is excellent. Except zangarmarsh.3. Sound: I have no qualms here. Excellent production values in the audio.
Tab targets the nearest hostile unit. You can bind an additional key to target the nearest hostile player. For me, it is `. As for battlemasters, you can now queue up anywhere, and if you think going to a capital city is hard, you used to have to go queue up at the physical location in the gameworld itself. Furthermore, wow was the first game ever to have battlegrounds for pvp. Say what you will about Blizz, you have to concede that they are constantly working to improve the game design.4. PvP: As you've mentioned before, the game doesn't have a good PvP, and I'd agree with you. Little gnomes jumping around the battle because they're harder to click and tanks losing all meaning as enemies could just run right through you. It was a bombshell. Also, when I was doing the trial, running to the nearest battle master to activate a PvP match became tiresome.

5. PvE: Besides the constant grinding I rather enjoyed it. It truly is geared as a PvE game.

As previously mentioned, you got to what? Level twenty? That is still in the: "you are just one more alliance volenteer army person" stages. Not in the "epic conquering hero" stage.6. Story: I felt like there was no plot or story to the game. What main quest I've done an hour ago soon loses relavence an hour later. The plot never felt coherent for me and so I felt loss as to what was going on in the story. Thus I felt that what was going on around me didn't matter and I felt no real connection to the world, and I stopped caring why I was killing bears.
Again with WoW being infinitely better than other games with this. You ever try everquest or city of heroes? They make wow look like EZmode. /gag7. Quest Drop Ratio: I'm sorry, but this is annoying. How many times does someone have to whack their giant sword or cast a spell on a mind numbing amount of monsters, more then you should, just to pick up one item...out of 5 more you need to get?! When does that ever become fun?!
I too am done here. If you didn't enjoy the game then don't play it. I just wished to provide some counterpoints here to make things more interestingI think I'm done. In conclusion I never enjoyed WoW because I never felt a connection to my player or the world around me. My actions felt like they would go unnoticed in the story and no matter what profession I took it wouldn't matter because it would only be used for that raid item. The game only got better around lvl 60 from what people are telling me and I keep saying that the game should be good around lvl 1, but I'm guessing from their faces that it was too much to ask. Also, the PvP aspect was horrible. I play to fight!
In ending, the game is not meant for those who enjoy the mind numbing leveling up or the constant monster bashing to pick up the one quest item. Nor the terrible PvP which is a huge reason for me to play MMOs, to interact with other players through sword and magic.
I hope I explained myself, and shed at least some light.
