And now that it is superior in content and polished, so much the better

Haha that was a nice moment. The way all of the major gaming outlets that had pretended that DA2 was a good game handled that story was incredibly entertaining.Waaghpowa said:Which one had its expansion canned again? And all the players who said they liked the game...were they also paid by EA? I'm curious. A good swath of the people in this very community really loved DA2, so are they also on the payroll?Thoric485 said:The 5/5 for DA2 will forever stain this site's credibility.
The EA ad revenue's probably worth it though.

So you're saying that someone who likes DA2 is a freak? Sorry, but that's just bullshit. As is the idea that you're a freak for liking FF13.CrossLOPER said:I like Final Fantasy XIII. Seriously, there appears to be a disconnect. If ME 3 is any indicator of what DAII was like, I can understand why people would have a problem with it. The terrible characterizations and corny, boring dialogue were almost too much. The games were released at the same time and DAII was a massive to many disappointment and TW2 wasn't.
The question isn't whether this site is recieving money from EA - looking at the presence of EA ads, it obviously is. It's whether it has allowed that to influence its journalistic integrity, and in the case of DA2, I believe it did. It's a widely reviled title with multiple, serious flaws and can't be objectively given a perfect score.Susan Arendt said:And all the players who said they liked the game...were they also paid by EA? How so?Grey Day for Elcia said:There's nothing mature about The Witcher. There's a lot of content unfriendly to a child, but there's nothing at all mature in the product.

How dare you ask such a question?Kahunaburger said:So, better or worse than Dragon Age 2?

And if reviews here are all opinion, with no objective weighing of aspects like graphics, gameplay, story - what does the score represent? Luck, that it fell to the right reviewer for it? Should we put every review from the User Reviews section up on Metacritic so it can too influence developers' bonuses and payrolls?
And yet, I really liked Dragon Age 2 and didn't enjoy Mass Effect 3 anywhere near as much (and I'm talking about the meat of the game, not the ending).Mcoffey said:Mass Effect 3 was much, much better than Dragon Age 2. Take that any way you like.
