I must have an awful personality. You see, when someone so singleminded as to actually call themselves 'IHateEA' posts 17 rambling, opinionated, unreferenced paragraphs gallingly telling me I 'shouldn't' buy anything with an EA label on it...

... All I want to is immediately go out an purchase an EA title that I otherwise had absolutely no intention of getting, simply to piss this person off more.

In fact, fuck it. Let's do it. Congratulations, OP, you have successfully contributed to EA gaining another sale. I was planning to wait for reviews and maybe a little time for the price to lower, but maybe while I'm at it I'll also go and preorder FIFA 14 completely blindly and for full cost.

I have not purchased a game from E.A. since October 2011... I think you can guess which game that was. Anyways I am doing my part to say F.U. to E.A. however am will give them a benefit of a doubt with Battlefront, but only one then it is over, for good.

Just to clarify, when you say "their games are terrible" you know that they control a significant amount of the market, so that is a significant numbers of games which you consider to be "terrible"? I can understand if don't like styles of games (maybe you don't play sports games for example) but the quality of the games is, for the most part, pretty good and on par with other publishers products (minus games like Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, etc).
I haven't bought a game that has been touched by EA since The Sims 2. That is including games published by them. By saying that it's my opinion I thought I made it clear that I was speaking subjectively. Most of the games I enjoy are AA or niche games. Objectively they are less quality than AAA games, but more creative and fun so I enjoy them more. I have a different taste in games than most people.[/quote]

Sorry I was asking more to the point of ALL EA games you find to be terrible (as an opinion) or if was more based on their current string of releases which people have had issue with. Sorry for the confusion

That was a joke. Jeeze people. I know everyone is incapable of being objective about EA (or Microsoft for that matter).
I knew it was a joke. The problem is that it didn't make sense as a joke, and that is why I said what I did.

I am of the comedic stand point that a joke has to make some logical sense, even in a silly bizarre logical way.
