Wii Downgrade

Many games end up being multi-platform titles, and while, the Wii may not be a "completely" next-gen system, it can still keep up to a certain extent and prove its worth (namely games like Mario Kart, SMG, Metroid Prime, etc. in the graphical department), but what I had seeing are the shear downgrades of some titles that I see to make them "Wii-friendly", namely the "Hero" games, and the Ultimate Alliance ones. While looking fine on the 360 and PS3, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2, it looks like an extremely sub-par last-gen game or even worse than that...

Examples:
compared to:

I mean if anyone has seen any of the Nintendo made games, you see the shading, you see the depth of field and everything...some of these other ones..they just seem like extreme laziness on the developer's part. What do you people think? =/

I think the Wii version image fails... sorry =(
Oh, right, by "fails" I mean that it just says "image" after clicking. No picture.

It's relatively simple. Games are made for PS3 and 360, then when it comes around to a Wii release, to save time, effort and money and to keep from making the game radically different, everything's simply cut down to make it work.

It should be working fine, it might just need to load, I asked a family member to go look at it on another computer and it loads up fine..

yes but at the same time i'd like to see those nintendo games made for another console to see if there would be a difference in that.
(also have you seen the wii specs, the developers probably have to downgrade the fuck out of their game engine which means they dont have the time to add in extra graphical features)

Star Wars: Force Unleashed had this same problem not onlyl acking in the graphics department as its X-box and PS3 counterparts but also lacking huge story plots. I actually read up on the other two and played through the wii one again and the wii one didnt even make sense it just had a whole bunch of story holes.

It's just laziness on the developers'[footnote]EDIT: Also, not everygame made for the Wii is made by Nintendo. Sometimes it seems like people cite evidence of not-Nintendo developers making poor games for the Wii as Nintendo making shitty software that poorly implements the hardware...[/footnote] part. This doesn't, however, mean that the Wii is a bad system. It just gets the "shovelware x3" treatment that every other popular console gets.

It's not the Wii that is at fault, really, it's the fault of third party developers. Most don't see the Wii as anything more than a PS2 with motion controls, and thus don't put enough effort into what they develop. Which is a shame, considering the Wii can pull of some decent stuff if enough effort is applied. Nothing Xbox360/PS3 quality, of course, but at least better than late-generation Xbox graphics instead of the mid/early-generation PS2 graphics it usually gets.
