I own a Wii and an Xbox 360, and before this year, I actually enjoyed a decent amount of both. Games like Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 were a lot of fun. But I can't think of one wii game that came out this year that I found enjoyable. The Conduit was supposed to fix the Wii's lack of shooters, but that game was disappointing at best. Hell, IGN ranked New Super Mario Bros. Wii as the top game of the year, and that's simply a remake of the good Mario games! Does anyone know a Wii game that can convince me the Wii hasn't lost all it's fun, or did Nintendo fail completely this year?

I was bored with wii this year too. I'm just waiting for the new metroid. And maybe some new fun, simple, wii sports game.

As long as casual gamers exist the Wii will continue to Godzilla its way through the competition and continue to protect its vast fortune. I think for the mainstream (not casual) gaming community that owns a Wii 2009 was a slow year.

I never played my Wii and that is why I sold it over the summer. I have found that as I have gotten older PS3 and XBOX are more appealing because I feel like they are more to my age demographic.

When you think of it, there weren't many exciting Wii games this year. Next to Wii Sport Resort, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and possibly The Conduit, I can't think of a hyped game.

My thoughts: Nintendo failed you this time. Wait for the next Metroid or Zelda Game.

Games like Madworld and Muramasa were released this year, but yea, it did bum. But look forward to 2009! A new Zelda, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: The Other M, No More Heroes 2, red Steel 2, and much more are coming!

Shame that they can still ride on their money earned from sales, otherwise they would've been forced to release some good games this year.

Oh well, hopefully they won't disappoint next year.

...you mean 2010?

Anywho, I agree with the above statement. The Wii got some poor hardcore service this year, but New Super Mario Bros Wii was amazing fun.

Even though the Wii is one of the few innovative new developments that the gaming world has seen in the recent years that doesn't change that fact that it's a great big steaming pile of Friday night pub vomit.

It will fall behind the competition in monthly sales because almost every one owns one of them already (not me though).
