Got a Wii, partill for my parents. The only two games they'll play, prolly, is the two that came with it - wii Sports, wii sports resort.

Me, I already got a 360, but i'm never too proud to feed my addiction. Select some Wii games for me to pick up?

I already plan to or have aquired:

Red Steel 2
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Samurai Warriors 3

Kirby's Epic Yarn
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Donkey Kong Country Returns
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Madworld

That's it. The rest of the games I even own for the system cause me way too much pain.

Off the top of my head:

New Super Mario Wii (like a Mario Bros. "greatest hits").
Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Okami
Metroid Prime trilogy
Epic Yarn
Mario Kart
Excitebots: Trick Racing
SSBB
NBA Jam
WarioWare Smooth Moves

Worth a rent, at least:
Punch Out!
Goldeneye
Metroid: Other M

Gamecube Games (don't forget a controller):
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Beyond Good & Evil
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
Pikmin (I think there's an updated Wii version -- never tried it).

Also, Animal Crossing is my guilty pleasure.

I guess it really comes down to what games you like. If you don't like platformers and racers, you're going to have pretty slim pickings.

Blastworks:
Think 'LBP meets Shump meets Katamari Damancy'.

Klonoa (Wiimake):
Simple platformer with puzzle elements, great music to boot. Remake of the PS1 game, just don't chose the English dub...god it sucks.

I've heard Sengoku Basara is good, too.
I prefer Samurai Warriors 3. But that's just me..
Oh, I have no doubt I will, too. I've been looking forward to SW3 for almost a year now. University classes and book expenses have just gotten in the way, so far...

Sengoku Basara is good =D (hopes people actually read my review when it was up x-x) but ya...either Samurai Warriors 3 or Sengoku Basara are pretty good choices for Wii games, but unlike Aura Guardian, I prefer Sengoku Basara overall.

A lot more fun, more anime-y, and every character is unique, with their own special looks, skills, and storylines....that and I love my giant mecha Tadakatsu Honda =3

I plan on getting both. I already have TP.

Right now I intend to get Red Steel 2, Sengoku Basara, Sengoku Basara 2, Samurai Warriors 3, Okami, No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2, maybe Mad World.

PS: I LOVE the Samurai Warriors games, but as of yet none have ever been as good or impactful to me as the original Samurai Warriors. Admittedly it was very guide dangit, but most of the english voices were good (not that I used them), and the stories were actually -very- mature. See also, Yukimura's DEATH at the end of his story arch, his arch rival declaring him to be a true hero of Japan for slaughtering a hundred men by himself even as his army burns around him, but Japan is finally free of war.

Excellent call! I forgot about Blastworks, and HIGHLY recommend it. Don't let the crappy title and graphics fool you; it's a load of fun. tanis1lionheart's description is spot-on. You can probably find it rather cheap, too.

Games I'd recommend

Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. A great action packed game that really puts you in the action and experience. the Wii motion controls were MADE for things like Dragonball Z. IGN E3 2008 winner of Best Wii Fighter.

Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3. Don't let the Naruto skin fool you. Grab a calssic controller and you'll find a suprisingly deep fighting game, with cool special attacks and very different characters.

Arc Rise Fantasia: A fun JRPG with the sad drawback of atrocious voice acting. Get used to, or just mute them, and you'll find this is a great RPG with great weapon customization, with a unique magic system.

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers. This game not only lives up to it's title, but is an amazingly fun hack n slash that uses the Wii's motion controls really well. This game is very under appreciated, sadly.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom: An AMAZING fighting game, and the latest in the VS Series. Anime powerhouse Tatsunoko (who made anime such as Gatchaman, Karas, and Tekkaman Blade) vs Capcom, bringin in characters such as Megaman Volnutt, Frank West, and Ryu. Can't recommend this game highly enough.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Gets a ton of hate for reasons I'll never understand. Continues the story of the Gamecube mega-hit, and adds in 2 new characters with a very well told romance. Improves the gameplay in almost every way from the original, and adds in the ability to capture monsters you fight and have them fight with you. Great RPG.

Games other people have recommended that I also recommend:
Madworld
No More Heroes
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

I would suggest picking up Just Dance 2, The tracking has been improved from Just Dance. The game is great to wind down;easy to jump into for just about anyone and overall just a amazing experience for the money.

If you can get them cheap, rail shooters like Dead Space Extraction and House of the Dead Overkill are worth a look. The latter is actually one of the few games to make me burst out laughing, due to its deliberate shiteness as it parodies not only B movies, but even the horrendous voice acting of its predecessors. Also, zombies.
