Why is Ninento bringing out stuff like that? That defeats the whole purpose of the normal controller. Imagination ftw!

Yeah, I kind of figured they were going to milk the hell out of the "controller cow" when they showed early promos for the Wii with a steering wheel, sword, gun, normal controller, etc... I quit buying into the extra controllers back in the NES days.

I vote to deign this phenomenon 'Guitar Hero Syndrome', because, in the style of the GH-Guitar, its Rock Band cousin, and all of the gimmicky, pointless instruments to be thrown out with the Wii-remote (i.e. WiiWheel, this, and it will go on), it's like holding a small Matel-brand toy version of the real thing. Guitars, drums, steering-wheels...

...in this case, lightsabers.
