The Wii has officially been dropped to $199. Does that make the console any more attractive to owners of other consoles? What else can Nintendo do with the platform?

Well, speaking as a sucker who has a Wii and a long time nintendo company kinda guy, I think the best idea would be to start making some more games geared to teens. Or more games that allow mass use of the classic controller.

Yeah it does seem to be the problem with the console, is that there's never anything really appealing to gamers on it. Mario Galaxy was great, Zelda was good, and I enjoyed the Boom Blox series for their fun party setup, but most of the rest has been shovelware and lame attempts at 'hardcore' games.

I was thinking they should try to bring back some of that FPS success they once had, with stuff like Golden Eye and Perfect Dark.

The Conduit is rather similar to that. It actually plays very well, and the online is awesome.

But I agree that the Wii needs more games aimed at the later teens. Since that is the major 'hardcore' gamer demographic, it's seems logical to aim to this group since they've already gotten everyone else and their dog.
