I've only played monster hunter 3 on my wiiU online and I can't say anything bad about it, its really easy to find a hunting party and I haven't met anyone who is an ass on it.
Nintendo does not utilize online functions as much as the other two. Their online works well nowadays, it just took them a bit longer to make things more stable. As far as I know, the Wii U's online functions work perfectly fine.
Back in the Wii days, Mario Kart online worked very well, yet Smash Bros. online was almost always unplayable. I don't think you have to worry about having such a shaky track record for Wii U at the moment. Unless you went online on Christmas.

Now let's hope that the Wii U version for Smash Bros is playable for once, as the old one made me sad with how broken it was.
OT: As others have said, the Wii U one works fine, but there aren't really any games that use online features on the Wii U so we won't know if it truly works until Smash Bros and Mario Kart come out.
