Some guy on eBay is trying to sell on for $900, obviously banking on supply constraints. Glad I reserved my at Best Buy.ToastiestZombie said:Wonder how long until someone edits this gif:

with the Wii U gamepad.
OT: Well, I wonder how many lambs I'll have to sacrifice to get one by Christmas. Also, has anyone started selling ones for WAY above their RRP yet? That happened with the Wii quite a lot, wonder if it's started already for the Wii U.
Asbestos is outselling the Vita ATM just to let you know.kman123 said:Asbestos could outsell the Vita, honestly.
Not surprised at this. I knew it was going to be massively popular. Them's the breaks.
Success of the Wii doesn't necessarily mean success of everything Nintendo does. The WiiU is a very different console than the Wii and the console market is a very different place from when it launched. It is more likely than not that things would be different. They still could be; this is still only a rumour and it's still early days too.Jove said:You would think people would have learned by now from the Nintendo Wii...guess not. -_-

Back on topic though. I guess I'll have to wait awhile before I can get it because I was too slow to preorder it. Oh well, waiting won't be too bad, I didn't really need it at launch anyway.
I think they were referring to the fact that the Wii sold out like it was the second coming of Christ and was impossible to find anywhere for a long time after launch, not saying that the Wii was bad. I recall how my mom was miraculously able to get us a Wii for Christmas because someone at the store happened to be returning one at the same time she was shopping there. Point is, we should have foreseen the WiiU selling out super fast.TheKasp said:I'd take the Wii over the other two consoles anytime.
Actually asbestos was a decent product allowing for great insulation and flame resistance, it was also very cheap. (I'm not trying to make a serious dicussion here, just making a counter joke)kman123 said:Asbestos could outsell the Vita, honestly.

I love the Wii. I will love the WiiUSoviet Heavy said:"It's not really selling well at all. All of those sold units were for 'casual' gamers, not the true hardcore crowd like myself! Down with Nintendo!"felbot said:good, id love to see the faces of the people saying it would flop.
/Haterdom rant.
Real opinion. Good to see them doing so well.
Just the announce of Bayonetta 2 is enough for me to put the Wii U above anything Sony or Microsoft can offer. You'd have to put out something like Devil May Cry 5, Shin Megami Tensei - Miscellaneous Subtitle or Project Zero 5 (another Nintendo owned series I believe, if they ever remember Europe exists) to distract me from that and even then it'd probably have to be two of the above.rob_simple said:Well, I certainly didn't see that coming, but I'm waiting to see how the games pan out before I call it a success.
Remember how well the first Wii did? I can totally see this being legit, it might not be but it's plausible.Boudica said:Simple strategy. Painfully sad how effective it is on the masses.
