I'm gonna cut to the chase, I am with unfamiliar how wikia works, and while usually this isn't much of a problem, today it is.
I noticed that the wikia for a game I like has factually wrong information, specifically the gender of someone from said game, which wasn't established until the sequel to said game.
So I go in and change this information as best I can, only to find that my IP has been blocked by a "second-in-command" admin/user for vandalism.
I should probably mention people prefer this character to be the factually wrong gender, but this is contradicted by the game itself.
And I should also probably mention the person who blocked me openly admits their favorite character is the one I was changing the information for.
So I'm told that I can talk about this by messaging them, or by talking to another admin. Problem is, I don't have an account, and I can't create an account with this IP address, because it is blocked. And I can't find any alternative means of contacting them, other than ways I already have.
Anyway, since I can't create an account, I can't message this person, or go into the chat. And I can't find any other way of contacting them other than their twitter accounts, which I have. I haven't heard back from them yet.
Did I fuck up? Did I not fuck up? And advice on what to do? Who's at fault here? Can I do anything?
