First of all let me apologies for the stupid subject name. It's late and I can't think of anything better,
and before I go and talk about how the western idea of a ninja somehow doesn't feel right to me, I am goint to throw out the fact that I am a U.S.A. citizen that spent 17 years in Japan after moving there when I was about 1 and a half, but I'll spare you of my life story. I even did a little research to see if I can figure out why the western idea of a ninja feels so wrong to me.
Now despite the fact that I feel a urge to go on angerly about how they are assasins and they don't go on rampages killing every civilian in a kingdom, but that wouldn't be a discussion starter, but a lecture.
Sorry if I sound meen or angry, I don't mean to be that way, I just want to ask the people out there this question: what was the first ninja(probably in a video game) you saw, real or not real, and what did you think a ninja was?
I know there might be other cultures who might want to explain misconceptions other people have on them, but this one drives me crazy some times.
but yea, I hope this makes sense.
