As we all know (Or don't know), Sony said that they will not implement Console based DRM on Used Games [http://kotaku.com/sony-wont-answer-these-questions-about-ps4-drm-and-use-510477281]. While 3rd Party's can still implement DRM policies, the console itself does not have any DRM in itself. However, we all know their's one company that's DRM Happy, and that's EA. Considering that EA likes to do things like make SimCity require the internet even in single player mode, or force people to log in to Origins to play any and all EA Games, of course EA is going to make their games on the PS4 register their games online. But will EA even bother putting a lot of effort into the PS4? Considering that EA has abandoned the WiiU, the only console that doesn't allow for any type of DRM on it, and has only released sub-par games on the WiiU when they did make games for it, is it possible that the PS4 will only get lazy ports from them?

EA games by and large suck regardless of platform.

EA want complete control over the game before and after the sale they basically want their cake and to eat it but they do have to bow down to the market right now they will test what they can get away with (once again) if it fails they will have to backpeddle if it succeeds they can go a step further and push again.

As for on the PS4 while I have no doubt EA and other large publishers have considerable clout on what will happen on the PS4 ultimately its not their machine its Sonys and they make the shots if the PS4 becomes the dominant platform then EA will concentrate on it and if most games dont have massive DRM in place on the PS4 it would be stupid for EA to break that precedent. I mean the PS3 games can be region locked its just that companies rarely bother to do so except for goddamn Persona 4 Arena.

I am also not sure they have abandoned the WiiU it seems like they are back in talks with them but personally I wish they did EA has such a bad reputation now its almost a positive if they are seen to abandon you.

I dunno, will EA games suck on the Xbone?

It's not about Sony or Microsoft or even Nintendo, it's about EA and their game controlling ways. They seem to do whatever they can to make as much money as they possibly can for as long as they can until something happens and they knock it off.

If, for some reason, the PS4 just so happens to be the popular console of the next generation then I'm fairly sure EA will do whatever it can to do just that, and making playing their games as complicated as it possibly can.

In short, EA is gonna EA regardless of the platform.

I doubt there will be any difference, especially since EA has recently been taking steps to improve their stance on DRM and what have you. The only thing that stands out is that certain EA Sports titles are positioned to have extra features on the One.

Simply, if you don't like EA games simply because they're EA games now, you probably won't like them later, regardless of which console you plan to own.

Not gonna lie.

I totally snickered when I was typing that out. Kinda hard to make a point about EA and their douchy ways while giggling over that. :D
