What would it take to get me to watch more tv?

More cowbell.

Oh, I'm a terrible person, and I'm very sorry.

After spending years completely ignoring television, I now semi-predictably watch episodes of House and Fringe. I think my main difficulty with TV is that I don't like having my entertainment bound by someone else's schedule. Even a DVR has its inconveniences (like, on the ones I've seen, that you can't watch a show while you're recording a different one). It'd be better, for me, to get the shows on DVD, but I'm not going to pick up TV shows when I could spend that same money and get the DVD of an actual movie.

So I suppose the short answer is: TV would have to be as good as movies.

Less reality TV, fewer celebrities, moar Scrubs! Also, why not televse some pro-gaming tournaments of games that people give a damn about? Bring us live Korean Starcraft!

I don't think any thing could make me go back, I have a TV that i haven't even turned on in over 3 years.
I don't know why I still have it.

'Dave' is great, but gets repetitious.. as it was bound to be. I've had man-flu for the last few days and have taken up with ITV3's Sherlock Holmes offering ... it's great, it has the retro vibe that makes it watcheable from a 'yeah cool' perspective, but those stories pass the test of time! Old Conan Doyle had it sorted. (I was gutted when Prof Moriarty and Sherlock had their final coming together today)

Other than that, it becomes clear that over the oceans some folk do some things better than others .. 'Monk' is bloody entertaining in a way that no Euro cop show has gotten near and 'Scrubs' has some of the funniest writing to date. On the other side of the 'channel' Beautiful People is about as perfect as a Brit-Com can get.

I'm rambling... I've done one to many hot toddies.
