Ok, this has been bugging me for a while now. I used to have an xbox 360, with Assassins Creed, and LOVED it. (The game not the console) Anyway the point is, now I want it on PC. Problem is, will my PC run it? and will it run well?

Specs: Nvidia 7600 GS
3.2Ghz Intel Pentium 4
160GB Hard-Drive
RAM: 1GB
DirectX 9.0 compliant sound card (dunno what it is)
DirectX Version: DirectX9.0
If it can't, can someone tell me what parts I need to be able to run it reasonably well?

This titles misleading... :(. I though it would be something funny like "Will my PC..." and then you just ask a strange question, like Will my PC ever suck a small child into its monitor?

On medium-high graphics?

No.

On low graphics?

No.

Well the answer is basically no but if you want go ahead and try it.

Your graphic card and cpu are a little old (p4 huh?!)

Get those updated and you'll be fine.

If you don't want to spend much money go for a nvidia 8800 and a dual core cpu.
If you want fancy graphics go for a nvidia 9+ series.

I have an AGP slot at the moment, and getting a better GPU would mean a new motherboard. I haven't got the money for that right now. Also, I need a new CPU, and more RAM, so a lot basically.

These are going to be an issue. You need an extra GB of RAM and you absolutely have to replace that video card. In order to do that you need to find out if its an AGP or PCI-E card. This little program will tell you:http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

Download and run it, then check the Bus Interface field on the right side about halfway down the page. If its AGP, the best thing you're going to get is an ATI 3850. If it happens to be PCI-E I would recommend getting an 9600GT or HD4850. Those cards are relatively inexpensive (120-150usd) and will run Assassin's Creed quite well.

As far as the processor goes, a lower-middle end core two duo would be more than adequate, but intel should be releasing their new processor series soon (codenamed Nehalem but I think the final name will be core i7) so if you feel your computer needs a big upgrade, you might want to wait and see if it's any good.

Edit: I just checked the most likely price on Wikipedia, the 2.66 Ghz model will be $284 and I think it's a quad core.

The processor isn't going to be a problem with modern games as most don't even make proper use of two cores. A high end P4 is still viable for playing games.

Don't worry that site isn't worth much though.
True, but it saves me a lot of trouble answering questions - har har.
