If so I guess that's one good thing. 360 controllers are USB based so can be used on PCs which is nice, and while they had a bad D-Pad they were pretty much my go to PC game pad. And if nothing else the XBone controller looks good. So while I may not get the console I may just get the controller to play PC games that are good with Game pads.

That is unless valve releases better game pads for steam box. The one on the Big picture page doesn't look as good as the XBone game pads.

(all my opinions obviously)

There's no way that it can't work. It doesn't matter about the plug because someone somewhere will make an adapter. I still use a PS2 controller as my PC pad.

They'll likely support it, at least in Windows 8 since they're pretty big on the concept of unifying their different systems together.

Probably, because Microsoft is still at heart a computer software company. Apple can interface its devices together remotely so it would only make sense that Microsoft would try to compete with them on that front by letting you sync the controller to your PC.
