I'm just wondering. Because freeware is basically the only reason I still play on this computer, and will probably be the big selling point to me with the ouya.

They've already got interesting looking games, a browser to access all the flash games, and emulation available, so one of the bigger things for me is now whether or not the console will have free games on it. And no, I don't mean free to play with microtransactions, I mean completely free. No charges unless you decide to donate. That is true free to play.

"But what about HD graphics?"

What about them? I can take san andreas quality graphics if the game is good. I can take any graphics if the game is good. Besides which, too much money going into graphical rendering has sucked the creativity out of the industry anyways, so the open source ouya seems to be the console for me to get if I want to play anything interesting for the next generation.

Plus, emulation means it's backwards compatible with all my n64 games, and all though my n64 appears to be immortal, I still want something else that'll play both n64 games and emulate others as well.

Pretty sure it will, but the devs can ask for donations from within the game.
That, mixed with un-responsive controllers and no need to request confirmation was something actually being criticized about it if I remember right.

A lot of us paid attention to the Ouya because we thought it was going to be a platform for indie AND mobile titles rather than monetized mobile titles. As it stands right now the console reminds me more of the 3rd party manufactured consoles meant to play titles from multiple older consoles.
