Hey guys lets hope that yet another thread doesn't fall flat on it's face like the others.
Do you guys reckon Splinter Cell Conviction, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Mass Effect 1&2.
Will they keep me occupied from Christmas to late April?

A toilet keeps you occupied.

Sorry, I just had to make a joke, I haven't played any of these games.

Seeing that both Mass Effects are RPG's, it might be a while to finish both.

Surely it depends how often and how much you play games? I should imagine you could have finished them all in a week if you played 20 hours a day. Conversely they could last months if you only play a couple of hours at the weekend.

Hmmm... depends how fast you'd go through them.
The problem is, those games are... somewhat linear, I suppose.
Mass Effect, if never played before, could last a while.
What you need is a game with a lot more freedom, like Oblivion, or Fallout 3/New Vegas.
I'd recommend Oblivion though. It isn't as bland to the eye as the newer Fallout games.
I know those games wouldn't last me.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 will keep you occupied from Christmas til you realise you have a very serious gaming problem, so until at LEAST until the end of January. Splinter Cell will not take long and won't leave a nice taste in your mouth if liked the originals (But it will still leave a bad taste in one mission which abandons everything good about the series. I.E Stealth). Hot Pursuit looks cool.

April might be pushing it, but it will damn well make a good dent. I think til about late march, but the main contenders is the Mass Effect couple which can eat away over a hundred hours of game play each, if the Fans are to be believed.

Calumon: Uhh... Digimon World will keep you busy til then!

[small][small][sub]Jack: He's not joking! I'M STILL NOT DONE AND STARTED IN MAY! Though I am close.[/sub][/small][/small]

W... what about that first question.
Do we reckon what. DO WE RECKON WHAT OP
I MUST KNOW

To answer the other question that did not cut off and send me spiralling into madness, no, probably not.
I don't know your gaming habits, though, so hey, anything's possible.

Splinter Cell is MUCH more enjoyable when you have a partner to play co-op with.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 can probably be beaten in a total of 30 hours MAX, and you MAY want to go back and play them again. No promises there though. I didn't.

I haven't played the new one, but I've never played a Need for Speed that I didn't beat within 6 - 8 hours.

All of these games have replay value, but it all depends on how much you play, really.

I recomend Mass Effect 1+2, but they won't keep you busy til then. Depends how much you play, but both can be beaten at around 30 hours. Granted that's a big chunk of time, but If you play two hours a day you'll be done in 4 weeks. Might I suggest a more open ended RPG like Fallout (3 or New Vegas, both are good) or even something older like GTA, Saints Row or Just Cause 2. Those will at least give you something to play around with after the main story, or just take long to finish.

Don't listen to this man, he is a liar. [small](joke)[/small] You be able to do this if you were trying to get the absolute minimal amount of content out of your game. ME2 ALONE will keep you occupied for weeks. If you have both games, you pretty much set for life.
