That would easily max out both BF3 and Skyrim.

Also, for gaming you could easily downgrade to an i5-2500K and 8GB of ram with no performance decrease.

You cannot max out bf3 unless you have 2x 580 in sli.

But yeah you will be able to max skyrim at 1920x1080 resolution, and you will be able to run bf3 with somewhere around high settings at 1920x1080

Challenge accepted.

On Topic: You'll easily run both of those games without any hassle.

Well I have two 480 =) and I can run at ultra settings with 50-60 fps, but since pretty much nobody is using 480 and (imo nobody should be using it either) so I didnt really mention it.
Hmm.. I guess 6970 cf would work as well

Here is a test on Bf3 alpha, it's sadly in Swedish but the numbers are the same

Red is for lowest fps and green is the average fps.

Final note: When I say that you can max a game, then you should have 60+ fps all the time.

I was planning to easily max it out with my 570 (nearly identical to 480) as well. I seriously doubt it'll take 2 580s to run it well on Ultra.
