I wouldn't say so, unless all the people reviewing spore now are playing pirated copies. And also, the casual gamer probably doesn't go online or to magazines to find reviews for games. They probably would just go out and buy it.

Then again maybe they do! I could be wrong.

I don't think so. Will Wright seems to have the same opinion. If a game sells 10+ million times, and has a score of 1, I'm pretty sure more people think differently. And thats Wrights point as I interpreted it.

Not always. Movie tie-in games can often sell ten times more than a critically acclaimed but low profile game.
