the reason i ask is that i totally love his review's and i KNOW that he's going to trash it because thats what he DOES
i kinda want to see WHAT he trashes about it though
there's only so much you can do with "probing planets is boring"
given that the game has been given amazingly high grades on most reviews, i kinda want to hear a review from the one guy who you KNOW isn't trying to suck up to anyone and is brutally honest in his critic

plus, its bound to be funny

While I don't make my mind up on a game just from his reviews, I will say I do take them into consideration (stopped my friend from buying Turok for instance) but I will read multiple reviews. I find the "normal" reviewers are often all flowers and unicorns about a game while Yahtzee is smarmy, a nice contrast and the true game is often in the middle.

As for ME2, I'm broke so I haven't bought it but I wouldn't mind hearing what he has to say.

An extremely popular game, which has gotten amazing reviews and is praised like a God in this site? Yahtzee definitely won't review it, no chance.

OF COURSE HE WILL FUCKING REVIEW IT. I have a feeling that he will actually LIKE it. I mean, everything he didn't like in the first game (combat, inventory) has been aced in ME2.

In his orange box review he described Portal rightfully as "Absolutely sublime from start to finish, and I will jam forks into my eyes if I'll ever use those words describe anything else ever again"

If Yahtzee is going to review Mass Effect 2 he better have those forks ready,....

I suspect / hope he will. The game is fresh on my mind which will make the verbal lashing he gives it a little funnier.

Nah, Portal didn't really have downsides for the game that it was, now Mass Effect.. Let's just say there's a LOT to not be content with and he will point out every one of those things. It's going to be golden.
Mass Effect and Portal are two games of a completely different scope and ambition. Although Mass Effect 2 has a FEW things you can complain about (mining for mineral's,) for the type of game it is it comes close to perfection. Of course it can be that you just don't like this type of game but it's a masterpiece in its own genre.

It is not perfect,... ok I will settle for one fork.

If he's going to complain about only seeing a bra after all the romance dialog,... he really should watch on a nice porn flick.

I'm betting he'll review it this week, since he usually reviews new games two weeks after they come out. The only other possibility is No More Heroes 2, but as a couple of people said, he mentioned ME2 on his Twitter so he's probably reviewing that.

Am I the only one who wants to see him review Tony Hawk Ride?

It's Yahtzee. He can dislike any game, no matter how good it is. But when you think about it, so can anyone. He just happens to do it in such an entertaining way (which is why he's famous and you're not).

Yahtzee will find a way to trash it some how...besides none of his reviews are to be taken seriously anyway
What? Why? Yahtzee has a respectable critical opinion and makes legitimate arguments about the pros and cons of each game he reviews. Why would you cast aside his reviews? Because he's funny?
Basically, yes. His reviews are based around making comedy out of it. He isn't to be taken seriously as a reviewer.

Who cares? What he reviews he reviews.

I thought there was some stance against "Yahtzee should do this game" threads?

Best answer. He might.
He might do it so he doesn't get a million messages telling him to do it, or he might not just to piss those people off

Yahtzee played the game, said it so on Twitter. Dunno if he's gonna review it or not.

"Fuck, I go through all that romance crap and and all I get is a bra? At least Mass Effect 1 let you see half an arse."

"OK, just looked at all the ME2 sex scenes on Youtube; very poor arse display across the board. Lots of alien cuddling, though."

i'm not saying "he should review it"
what he reviews is not my or your decision

the REASON i'm saying he might not, is because he didn't like the FIRST one
this isn't modern warfare 2 where you finish it in a day
this is about a 30 hour commitment start to finish
and given that he DIDN'T like the first one (also a really long game), i was wondering if he'll decide to try this one out

Absolutely not. His comedy doesn't make his opinions illegitimate, it just makes them funny. Occasionally he'll step out of line just for a joke (see: Duke Nukem: Forever) but his videos definitely maintain a critical edge. He points out the flaws, gives credit for the good, then usually wraps up with his overall opinion on the game.
