I don't get it - I thought it was being definined as survival horror, yet you're given a load of guns and ammo'd up to the teeth. That's the impression the demo left at any rate (and the biggest "scare" was when a monster jumped out of a frozen chamber... yeah, totally didn't see that coming), same as the first game's demo.

Nope. Played a bit of the first one, disliked it. It's a serviceable, even good TPS, I'm sure. On the other hand, it's not even remotely scary, and I really hate the sheer amount of gore in it. DS2 will be more of the same, so I'd rather give it a miss.

Nope, I don't touch anything even remotely horror. It will freak me the hell out and give me anxiety. They could give me the Death Star as a weapon and it would still have that effect on me.

probably not, I will get it at some point but with all the games coming out in the next few months and the need to buy more ram after buying books I dont think I have the cash for it

Nah, for reasons explained in it's absolutely brilliant ad campaign. Being 15 kinda sucks sometimes.

I was very excited. The initial pitch made Issac Clark sound like he was an actual character, psychologically traumatized by the experiences of the first game. That all made it sound much more like survival horror than action, then I started seeing the gameplay, and it looks like it's subject to the same faults as the first game, plus the demon babies from Doom 3. I can't say I'm interested.

Absolutely. Whether it's next week or in a couple of months, I haven't decided yet. I'm kindof a busy guy at the moment. I'm looking forward to grabbing it, whenever it is.

It is supposed to be good though, so maybe during the Summer drought I'll pick it up.

Dead Space is one of the worst ever PC ports, and, as with Bioshock, it couldn't hold a candle to System Shock 2.
