So somehow a spyware/malware was able to get onto my computer called Win 7 Antivirus 2011. I can no longer open the internet because it will not let me open any of the sites. I am using my parents computer to figure out how the hell to get rid of it but it says I need to use like 3 different types of spyware removers which each you have to pay for.

Can anyone help me with tips on how to get rid of this shit?

MalwareBytes should take care of that.

Download it from your parents computer, put it on a flash drive, and then use it on your computer.

(If you don't have a flash drive, you might be able to run your compy in safe mode to bypass the internet block and download it there.)

What Antivirus you running? If safe mode doesn't work then a recommended trick from me is to try a system restore, it will undo changes it's done to your system and should allow you enough time to download something to get rid of it (although your antivirus should have stopped it in this day and age to be honest).

P.S. if you have no antivirus then Avast is the way to go (i use the free one and i've never caught a virus 3-4 years on, and before the flamers start a flame war no i'm not claiming Avast is the best and stops everything, but it has for me but i also know how to look after my system.). Also if you have no anti virus originally i'd recommend wiping, theres no telling how much your systems infected.

I too would suggest a boot into safe mode (probably F8) while starting up and the use of an application such as malware-bytes or spybot S&D as well as using either AVG or Avast.
Worst case scenario will be needing to use linux off a jump drive with a virus scanner.

I have Avast. I used my parents computer to look it up and apparently it piggybacks on the back of updates or disguises itself as a windows update. It only effects Windows 7 (go figure) I have used Norton (paid) for the past 2 years and it would stop EVERYTHING spyware and virus's. I don't think even that could stop this thing since it pretty much once it gets on your system will shut down the internet and not allow you to get on anything and will lock you from doing anything.

And thanks for the advice everyone got the stupid shit to die.

I personally would do a full system restore because I dont know, even though I know its gone, I dont feel its gone. (If that sounds any way right) But I recommend Norton 2011. Its very nice and actually is really good unlike other versions.

Ha after helping on here today i downloaded a nvidia update from windows update and guess what pops up Win 7 total security 2011, ended up having to wipe the machine, wouldn't even let me open an explorer window. No more trusting windows update.
