Windows 7 Beta-1

I had a play with this the other day - WOW! Combines XP speed with VISTA layout... it really will be something special. How many other people have tried the windows 7 beta? do you like it? what do you think its going to turn out like? Let me know!

i havent tried it but i have close friends who do and they are neutral on the windows, mac, argument and they loved windows 7, the key is to go into windows 7 in a good way, if you beleive all of the bs about how crappy it is you will not like the experience

I really like Windows 7 thus far, but unfortunately for us, it seems there are a lot more people with opinions on the new OS than those who have actually run it as even just a VM.

Yes this is true... I mean, its microsoft, so i can understand dislike based on reason, but when it stems from prejiduce... thats not fair

Here's the thing: Most will compare it to the system's revolutionary predecessors.

So in other words they want Microsoft to deliver an unimaginable hologram program to beam onto the wall.

Tried it, but only for about an hour. It wasn't really compatible with some of my programs that I wanted to use, yet all that aside I liked it. Transfers a lot more faster and enjoyed some of the features that they put in. Liked it better than Vista, that's for sure.

I really don't wanna go threw another Vista, I'm afraid to try it I don't wanna go threw the piss-off of learning a new OS just to have it suck even more then Vista.

its the perfect blend of vista and OSX, both of which are excellent (contrary to popular belief) operating systems.

everything from vista is fully compatible with win7, which is impressive as it is even though it's only in a beta!

i would encourage more people to try it out, but the download period is over so you'll have to wait till later this year...

think of windows7 as vista sp3

Vista is okay. It's good at making stuff easier and stuff. For non-nerds. But if you want to do something a bit deeper, you'll have to go through all hell. That's the problem with Microsoft. The newer the OS, the more restrictions they make.
