I have a sort of problem that I just discovered concerning my "Music" folder in Win 7.

Several months ago, I created a folder within my Music folder for one of my soundtracks. As far as I know, nothing unusual happened when I created it. However, I've noticed that ever since then, when I download music, a copy of it is created in that soundtrack's folder.

At first, I thought I was just downloading stuff into the wrong folder, but whenever I create a new folder in my Music folder, a copy of THAT is also added in the folder. The odd thing is, if I try to delete the copy, the original is deleted as well.

It's not any sort of real problem, but it's an organizational nightmare.

Some people find Windows approach to data organization pretty useful, for me it's nothing less than complete and utter nonsense. I tend to stay as far as possible from Windows folders/libraries. Every piece of data i download or create is saved on separate partitions/discs.

Totally agree with all you say...Create a partition or buy a few terabytes and all will be where you want it..Save your C drive for program files....If you have a D Drive its probably got your recovery on it..Dont mess with that..It makes me wonder why they make the recovery partition so huge, when most recovery programs are only 2 to 4 gb..So many computers Ive fixed have had there recovery stuffed by people adding music and video's to it..or even just delete the recovery and add whatever you want..lol

Easiest fix should just be to move the data then delete and remake the folder.
