Im trying to download Steam to get into the whole PC gaming thing. Im using Windows XP (pretty vintage, i know) but every time i try to run the installation Windows Installer keeps coming up with the following message:
The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.
Well its definetly not running in safe mode and considering im sixteen (and living in Scotland, we dont know how to use technology) im in no position to contact tech support.
