I am having a problem, my computer was broken recently and had to be recovered. Luckily, some of the anime on my hard-drive was saved. However when I watched these shows recently, the subtitles were missing. How can I fix this?

Note: I tried turning on subtitles through right click but it didnt work.

Other Note: Maybe I should be a bit more clear, I DONT want to stop using WMP and download another video player entirely.

Did they have subtitles before? Perhaps try downloading external SRT subtitle files or using a different player such as VLC.

Yes they had subtitles before, and it was still on Windows Media Player

Perhaps you had a codec pack installed before that was required to properly process the subtitles. Just guessing here though...trying VLC would probs be the simplest solution.

If you want to go elitist, Windows Player Classic with CCCP. It's way better than VLC, which tends to have hiccups.

Yeah, WMP is so last decade. WPC with K-lite Codecs or CCCP is where it's at.
