Well CDP had an Xbox 360 Pre-launch conference today to show off The Witcher 2 on the 360 along with some new enhancements they have made. They have been working hard at adding, improving, and fixing things from the original and it looks like one hell of a package. Some of the additions/enhancements they mentioned:
-new camera system
-new targeting system
-4 hours new gameplay
-new locations, and characters
-33 minutes of new cinematic movies
-animations, improved character panel
-and much more + the new CGI.
Lots and lots of extra stuff that comes with the game and not nickel and dimed to you through DLC. PC owners will get all of this stuff FOR FREE in what will inevitably be something like a 3.0 update.
You can watch their conference here. [http://apps.facebook.com/thewitcherlive/]
The biggest news is of course the release date which will be April 17th. Not very far off from now. And given that this is a heavily enhanced version of the game with new content and all that jazz, it's only fitting that there would be an 'Enhanced Edition' that you can buy.
The 360 will get a collectors edition called the "Dark Edition" which has all that nifty stuff like a hard cover art book, sound track, making of DVD, ect...Pricing yet to be confirmed.
Also, awesome intro cinematic/launch trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-console-the-witcher/726180
So yea, console players are in for an awesome experience with very little compromises madem and PC players get some more awesome content down the line to boot.
Who's Excited?
