The only reason why I found that boss hard was becuase I wasn't paying attetion. It's piss easy and the QTEs are less forgiveing when you encounter the dragon.

Letho's fight became manageable for me after I resorted to kiting around and occasionally taking a stab at him, but for a long time I wanted to take him aggressively, and it never worked. Still, the guy kills you in like three hits :|

Btw, is it just me, or did every attack on him do "minimal damage?"
I found using the Aard (I think it's the Aard...the knockback/stun) and staggering heavy blows would nudge him back against a wall, and then he just got stuck in a recovery animation while I looped my attack chain on him relentlessly until he went down.
Only if you're on Easy - on Normal and higher all enemies will just block after a certain amount of hits.

That was on Normal. I bumped it down from Hard after becoming profoundly annoyed at the Kayran.

Finished the bastard off. The difference between this being a piss easy fight and a totally stressful, annoying piece of shit is drinking that potion (since you get 1-2 shot without it), having 3 bars of vigor (so you can spam Quen/Trap), and playing on the PC version (since you cant look up on 360).

Turned off difficult QTE's too. QTE's are retarded enough, but having a tiny prompt on a huge screen which lasts for only a second or two is just batshit retarded.

Just invest in Quen or increase the distance you can roll and you'll be fine. Also drink the anti-Karyan poison potion and make sure you use the trap. Oh and drink a potion to increase your vigour regeneration too as that's pretty important here.

It's one of the few fights where I felt like the game actually went "hey some crazy shit is about to happen, better swig some magic juice" whereas a lot of the big fights happen suddenly, you die and then you get the opportunity to prepare.
