Witcher 2 Letho

Anyone have any idea how to kill letho? Assume spoilers about the letho fight from here on.

Ok incase you forgot letho is that big muscle bound witcher i nthe first chapter. You get knocked down into that elven bath area.

Well anyway i have tried everything i can think of. traps, yarden, aard, that shield one, counter attacks, bombs.

Everything i do seems to take of like no health and one little mistake can cost me like 20-40% of my health.

I really do think my problem is causei have no potions on cause i wasnt expecting this fight when i set out. I might just have to reload and make some potions and bombs. But even with potions ill probably still ahve trouble so any suggestions?

You can't actually kill him. Even if you reduce his health to zero he won't die there (or else the game would end). All you have to do is survive. Personally, I did it through the use of the shield spell, the stun trap spell, and the occasional bomb or thrown knife. I also drank a few potions before hand and applied a decent oil to my blade for the fight.

You have to get his health to half, after that the fight is over.

thanks ill reload and drink some potions and use some oils. make some more bombs and try again.

Whenever he uses the shield, knock him back with the push spell. At all other times, spam him with bombs and knives.

(Come to think of it, that works for pretty much every enemy in the game.)

Once you knock him down to a certain level of health the fight ends and he just beats you up in a cutscene.

No, he explaine it badly.It's a normal boss fight where at the end Letho flee.

My advice is to use the quen sign[shield] and aard[that force shot, if you are on star war...]. Keep quen up, and start running around the room, keeping yourself away from letho. Dodge is really useful, and quen is need actually only as a precaution. When Letho's quen fade out, use your iron word. get near with a fast slash, and then down of hard one. Use aard to break is guard, if needed. when he axii you, shotting you away, he will even re quen.

Repeat until he fall. He is actually harder than the krayen, yes.

What I did, was stay defensive and hit him only with counter attack. It's the only move that does visible damage and is safe, because he can't block and counterattack you. It doesn't deal with his lightning fast unblockable sign attacks (god, I hate the game for them), so you should cast Shield whenever you run out of it. Just remember that it doesn't open the opportunity for you to hit back, so don't. Roll back and cast it again, then wait for him to hit you and do a riposte.

YAY finally killed him.

I went back to a slightly earlier save. drank some potions and used some weapon oil. made like 10 grapeshots.

So when the shield came down i hit him with the grapeshots. which took off like 25% health then kept away from him and when his shield came down i arrded him and hit him a few times.

I tried to complete the game with some level of neutrality.

I chose to help Iorveth so to help level the playing field, I killed Letho for Roche's sake.
